(from Good Magazine)
Update: The reader who comments below says that drinks like Naked and Odwalla are natural but not organic, so I've changed the post title.

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Who owns organic/natural brands?:
I used to work for Naked Juice and helped with the sale of the company to Pepsico. One thing I can assure you is that Naked Juice is NOT an Organic product "it's all Natural, but not Organic" it never claims to be Organic. Odwalla who is owned by COKE is also NOT an organic product. I suggest the editor of this "online article" do a better job at his/her research before publishing articles of this kind.

Naked does contain organic ingredients, albeit small amounts, Odwalla used to, same with GardenBurger, before they were acquired.
One error though, Heinz used to have a 20% stake in HainCelestial but no longer does.

Izze is owned by Pepsi. A good organic alternative is Apple Rush. (www.applerush.com)

Organic farming for food is vitally important to the health of people and our planet.
However, just as important, is Organic farming for crops to make fabrics for clothing, sheets, blankets, towels, and all textile materials. Organic farming plus Organic manufacturing for these purposes is just as vital for the health of people and the planet.
If you're eating Organic or Natural food, or thinking about doing so, I would encourage you to extend your thinking and actions to include Organic textiles from Organic Cotton, Organic Wool, Hemp, and Bamboo.
This is an area of which most people aren't yet aware. However with all the destructive nature of non-organic farming for fabrics, it's just as important to peoples' health and that of our air, water, and land.
