March for Zombie Rights in Madison, WI
Zombie flash mobs are very "hip" these days, but most zombies appear to be just in it for the brains and the blood.
It's now nice to see that an activist element has emerged among our undead brethren. Yesterday, in Madison, WI, a group of politically-motivated walking corpses marched on the State Capital building around lunch time with some pretty serious demands.

Fight for zombie rights by bringing a protest sign, sandwich board, or customized t-shirt. With slogans like Let Zombies Walk!, The undead are people too!
Open your heart and mind to zombies, or even an eloquent ARGH, we'll raise public consciousness for the plight of our cannibalistic brothers and sisters.
What do we want? BRAINS! When do we want it? BRAINS!
I, for one, often feel zombie-identified (some of my best friends!) and think those of us on the Left would be remiss not to reach out to this community and try to include them as part of a broad-based coalition. It's clear that our values are completely in-line. They want brains; we have brains. They want blood and not oil; we don't want blood for oil. Not to mention the accessibility issues that overlap.
It's also clear that the Right is out of touch with Zombie Values; I mean, after all, one of their major platforms is "pro-life"! (which I prefer to think of as "anti-undead"). But we better act fast; I hear Rove is already planning a grassroots outreach effort through Dick Cheney's office.

here in brisbane, queensland, australia zombies fear for their rights also. we will be staging a march mid-2006 and a picket would be a great way to let the living understand where we're coming from.
